176th Step Street/ADP and NYPD Explorers

Last week, Bronx Community Solutions ADP program combined with The NYPD Explorers from the 46 Precinct, Sanitation District 5, and Community Board #5, worked together to improve the conditions of one of the LARGEST step streets in the Bronx located at 176 and Popham Avenue. This project was also attended by the Crew Supervisor, Raul Hernandez, from our sister project across the bridge, Newark Community Solutions, who spent two days with us. Here is what he had to say:
“My time at BCS was a trip of many things but if i can describe it in one word it would be 'Powerful" because BCS works diligently towards changing lives in the Bronx. Also, they work on rising up future generation to be more responsible and respectful toward their community and themselves.”We had some good feedback from some of the community residents including Pastor Smith, who’s also a resident. We also had 3 kids from the community volunteer to help. But the best news of day by far, was when one of our BCS ADP kid asked for an application to enroll in the NYPD’s Explores program.
