Robbery Spike in Hunts Point

We heard about it from our police contacts and now it's being reported in the Hunt's Point Express. The 41st Precinct has seen a spike in robberies and assaults. A wave of robberies by young people against young people, stealing cell phones, especially the popular Sidekick, is chiefly responsible for the increase, especially around Southern Boulevard. Even participants in the Rocking the Boat program were beaten up and robbed after leaving the program one evening in the new Hunts Point Riverside Park.
